The idea is the same as the dock. You take a female ipod adaptor and you use the 5v+, 5v-, audio right, audio left, and common audio ground. You then just split this into two cables, a USB for power and a 3.5mm for sound. This is all done using a USA-Spec ipod adapter, not a built in car interface.
